Chapter 1

Adam went exploring aboard the Princess.
"She is lovely, the boat I mean," he thought out loud.
Ella was really nice too, she was so caring. He barely knew her, but he loved her already. She was so nice and down to Earth. She didn't seem like a spoiled rich girl. She was hard working and she had earned this boat.
Suddenly the boat lurched forward and Adam stumbled into another door that gave way. Adam soon found himself face first on a crème carpeted floor. When he stood up, Adam saw the most amazing sight. It was beautiful. There was a marble countertop by the kitchen area, with a full stove and microwave. There was a dining area and a sitting area, complete with a TV and stereo system. And best of all, Air Conditioning!
Adam got really curious when he saw the chaser light stairs and decided to venture up. He came upon 3 smaller, but gorgeous bedrooms and one amazing master bedroom. Ella had said it was amazing.
"Well, let's see what's around here to eat."
Sure enough, the fridge was loaded as was the freezer. Right after Adam had taken out a can of soda from the fridge, the boat lurched again, causing Adam to fall to the floor.
"Sorry, Adam," a voice blared from above.
"Ella? Where are you?" he asked as he got up and looked around.
"Hello? Geez. Adam, the intercom, Wonder Boy. There's one next to the counter, couches, and the beds. Just press it and we can talk throughout the cabin."
"Ahh," he smiled as he pushed it. "Hello?"
"Hey, we're at the gas dock. Come on up, they have a restaurant we can bring some stuff to eat on board."
"What are you talking about, the fridge is stocked?"
"But the cupboards aren't, come on. I'll show you around."

Ella led Adam off the boat and to the restaurant. As they walked in, many of the people present greeted her.
"Elena" an older Puerto Rican man greeted her at the door.
"Hey, Rick!" she smiled as she pulled Adam to meet him.
"Who is this?"
"This is my friend, Adam. Adam this is Rick and his daughter," she gestured to the young woman sitting to his left.
"Marinalla Santo-Dominera Carmela Santiago Madrige," she smiled and noticed the confused look on Adam's face. "Please call me Marina," she laughed as she extended her hand.
"Adam Levine."
"Yes, you're from the group. Purple Red or something."
"Maroon 5, yeah," he chuckled.
"Sorry, I don't watch MTV too much," she giggled in her Puerto Rican accent. "What are you doing here, Elle?"
"Well, Adam needed some assistance getting out of the city, so, here we are."
"Yes, the blackout?" Rick frowned. "It's a good think I'm no longer working at Madison and Carmelita works. She's in Pennsylvania for a convention."
"Well, I think we are going to grab some snacks here. How's fishing in the bay?" Ella asked.
"The bay?" Adam asked confusedly.
"Raritan Bay," Ella stated.
"Well, pretty bad. The weakfish have been non-existent and you know those stripers," Rick said sadly.
"Los pezes son sobre uno de los hoyos. Hay nadie alli. Jamas," Marina stated softly.
"Cual hoyo. Entre vente y diecinueve?"
"No, el baya de la princesa. La hoya es la Puerto Valiarta."
"Gracias. Las usuales?" Ella smiled.
"Si, voy ahora." Rick answered.

"What was that?" Adam asked as they left the restaurant.
"Just my contacts."
"Spanish?"
"Fluent. My cousins are Venezuelan. Don't know much English, either."
"Hmm. Good to know," Adam stated.
"Planning on taking me to Mexico?" Ella joked.
"Are you? Puerto Valiarta."
"Just the name of the area I fish sometimes. It's a nickname."
"Okay...so, why did we need to know about fishing?"
"Well, dinner. I'm planning on catching our dinner tonight. Some fluke. Up to the challenge?"
"You bet. Let's go," he asked hopping on the boat.
"Pushy, pushy. Bye, Frankie," she waved at the man from the dock.
"Be safe, Ella."
"You got it," she called and then turned to Adam. "Do you want to hang downstairs or are you going to stay up here."
"I think I'll call the guys, see if I can get a hold of them, Maybe they landed."
"Hopefully. All of PA is dark, it was on the boat radio. Maybe they decided to hang out in Jersey."
"Wait, where are we going?"
"I live in New Jersey, so that's where we're going."
"Sounds good. I'm going to go call," he smiled and walked to where the cabin door was and opened it. He placed the bags of food on the counter and quickly exited. Smiling, he pulled out his phone.
